Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Shanika—Founder and Owner of The Sanctuary.

I am a proud mother, partner, daughter, sister, and friend, but above all, a woman of God who believes in purpose, passion, and serving others through love.

The Sanctuary was born during the pandemic when my daughter began experiencing mild eczema and the products we relied on were not enough. Determined to find a solution, I began researching natural ingredients and discovered the powerful benefits of shea butter. What started as a simple body butter to soothe her skin quickly became a staple in our home.

Encouraged by my partner to share my creation, I realized this was bigger than just skincare—it was ministry through self-care.

Founded in 2020 and officially launched in 2022, The Sanctuary was built on the belief that your body is your templeand deserves the very best. Every product is handcrafted with intention, quality ingredients, and love.

More than a brand, The Sanctuary is a lifestyle—one that promotes wellness, confidence, and community. My mission is to provide affordable, high-quality products while uplifting and investing in the people we serve.
